I cant stop looking at this car. I really really like it. I remember there was a post on here not to long ago about it. Truly a perfect custom. There is not one bad angle on it. Are there any interior shots?

The owner, Don Richardson, is a friend of mine. I have driven this car a little. Hard to see out of. It is the real deal folks. My alltime fave custom. Don't get much better than this. Period. These are the only two pics I took at B-ville this year.

I went real gone for that '39 this weekend. I thought it must've been a modified Zephyr or something, it was so beautiful.

  5. It took a while for this thread to get the attention it deserves but im glad it is. I think by bringing this car to the salt this year woke a lot of people up to this Timeless Legend. There were some talk about it before on here but it never lasted very long, now people are diggin it and I am lovin it! Very Well Deserved !!!!!

I have a 39 standard that I was afraid to chop.
Koolkemp lives up the road and he wants to whack the top. I think I need to figure out the details and copy the look of the boomer. I am pretty sure Rikster might have the details of how much this car was channeled sectioned and chopped.

No ladder. Just raised my camera over my head and shot. If I missed the car, then I deleted it like it never happened and tried again. I mean in never happened.

damn... I have dug this ride for year but this is the first color pic I have ever seen of it. not saying it looks bad by any means but I think I secretly wanted it to be a little darker...

    still amazingly beautiful car!

Thank you all for your posts, pictures and enthusiasms about our car. It was a gas to drive around 900 miles each way to Bonneville this year.

Yes, it is a very comfortable ride. It is an honor to be the caretaker and owner of a piece of history.

It was so cool to talk to so many people about our car and it was real nice of people to want to take pictures of it too. We asked a lot of people to send us photo's. Some people had real nice camera's with them.

The Tinted Purple car that looks like ours is owned by Roger and Julie Hendrickson from Fairmont, MN. Our car brought us together in 1986 I think. Neat people!

Thank you again......... You can see some more photo's at: www.richardsoncustomautobody.com Just click on the picture of the car that has the lady standing by it....

    Enjoy,

I've posted about this car a few times on here the past. This is the the genuine article of custom meets hot rod. And to correct what was stated before about this being used as a push car for Rice's '32. The '32 roadster he bought after customizing the '39 was used as the push car for the '39, as the '39 competed at Bonneville. He ran 121.45 in C cl*** coupe with the '39. Bad***!

Hawk and Buzzard does an amazing article on his blog that I have cited before. Find it here:

    http://thehawkandbuzzard.blogspot.com/2009/10/bonneville-boomer.html

It is a must read. Time to drool.

Here's a pic of my friend Craig Wise(CW's40PU)who is also the same guy who painted the Old Crow logo on my truck and Lucky's truck,at Bonneville when he was a kid in 1954. When I saw the car at Bonneville,I asked him if it was the same car that's in his avatar. He said yes!!!!!

Yes, Don's car as he has had it for many years and got it to it's currnet state. Nice thing is that it still lives in the Aberdeen area and he takes it out often but has a few other nice rods as well plus he is a pro builder.

    Hey CW's40TPU,

We are headed to the Grand National Roadster Show - January 28 to 30, 2011. We will be in with a group of Old Customs and Hot Rods on display. If we create a poster of your picture by our car and send it to you, can you sign it and send it back to us? We would like to display it next to our car in the Grand National Roadster Show.

We look forward to your response.
