Man, I'm not sure what is going on. His brother just sold the Blown Nailhead Henry J last month, now this. Both guys had owned each car for years.
These are both top notch cars with plenty of local history.
This car was unofficially named the 'Flyin' Flathead' and runs like stink.
Whoever gets this will be getting a very well done car that can be driven where-ever.
The seller has been building very traditional stuff atleast since the early 80s for himself and many customers.
Best of luck to all you bidders, someone will be very happy with it for sure.

A guy can spend some time studying that one to see how to do one right. It's one nice car.

A special car for sure. You could spend a lifetime trying to collect the parts for that kind of build.

Its a HAMBer's car - his first name is Steve, but I don't know his HAMB name. He also owns a 32 Chev with a 261 six, and is building another chev coupe with an Olds or something like that.
He builds bitchin cars - strictly period

I guess the market must be down worse than I thought. I mean if Brookville can get 12K + for a repro roadster body, I would have thought a finished car with all the cool stuff would have brought a higher bid than 30K. Honestly I was figuring 40-45. Maybe this is a sign that Steve should keep it???

I closed the auction early, I decided i cant part with it just yet, maybe in another 30 years, there is a cabriolet body on here with a 40k price, and its not as good as mine, so go figure?? things are back to reality, It was never about the money, so thats okay with me.

  22. glad you decided to keep it.

Didn't think it was for the dough. I figured you just lost the 'spark' for it. Atleast you know it is safe, I am sure it doesn't mind sharing the garage with the others.
Hell, maybe in 30 yrs I'll have enough dough to buy it from you!?!
