I charge $2.00 a hole for generic sheets, model a visors, doorpanels, glovebox's, etc. Model A, 32,33, and 34 hoods are a $200 flat fee...but must be clean metal on both sides. All other large hoods and decklids are a flat fee of $300. These prices include my layout and a light sanding if needed to remove flash rust...but do not include stripping.. Big hoods are awkward because of the weight and size and more care must be taken to keep the metal from stressing when punched. and decklids are just a pain in the ***..hence the higher price.

$2.00 a pop. Paint needs to go away, if its the factory black [kinda thin primer] on the inside of a panel I tell a guy not to bother taking it off, works great for layout. Oh **** you're right around the corner and I am giving secrets away! John

A traditional louver press is on my list of tools to get, when we cut louvers her it usually runs 4 to 5 a louver just because the set up time and layout work involved with the pulmax. but when its all said and done i can create a one of a kind louver pattern.
But for the pulmax to make a standard 2" 3" 4" louver it really takes more time than what it is worth a good slandered louver punch can't be beat

Rex, I don't know if they ever got in touch with you, but I have sent a couple of folks your way for exactly that kind of stuff. Some day when I grow up I hope to have a Pullmax machine! Beautiful stuff!

The pulmax louvers are great for a custom set but to try to punch a nice row of standard hot rod louver can be a real pain. I would love to get my hands on or make a real louver punch to make some traditional hot rod ones.

    $10.00 for layout, $ 1.00 each, $ 2.00 if you watch, $ 3.00 if you help.
Inside out, backwards, or upside down, no extra charge.

We charge $2 a louver, standard 3" if the metal is bare on both sides and any braces interfering with the pattern you want are removed.
I remember in the 50s going to Almquist in PA from upstate NY to get louvers punched for $1 a hole as I remember so today's prices are a bargain.

I havent had any done recently, but 25 years ago I paid $1 each. Back in the early sixties there was a local guy that had a press mounted on a trailer,He went to the drag strips and punched louvers in the pits.:)
