well, after a stint in the ER and being flat on my back for a week, i finally got into the shop today and put together the mounts for the 389. this is what i came up with, and how it's gonna sit under its own weight. mounts are tacked right now, JUST IN CASE........

it sucks being a week behind, but i'm still confident i'll win the bet and easily be on the road by april 1st.

April 1st is my goal (and Tudors) for getting our Sedans on the road also.. I think it is doable for me, Tudor is not so sure depending on the day of the week

Keep pressing on it and progress will happen.

    the story of the BET.

my buddy andre and I both had hotrod projects just sitting in the wings. not much happening with em. too much other shit with other cars. just over a month ago we started busting each others balls about how long we've had em and done nothing. BAM. the bet is born.

first guy to have a streetable car by wins. april 1st is the due date. if nobodies car is on the road by then, nobody wins. if however MY car is done first, i get to pick any steak house in seattle and andre gets to buy me a very nice dinner. of course andre gets the same prize, but that AINT gonna happen.

i can already taste the steak and nice bourbon and coke cocktail....

by the end of the week, the driveline should be complete. then steering, brakes, etc. i think i can hammer it out in 7 weeks. i hope.

  10. Jeez preacher, Kat lay you out for not getting tix to that show? :)... what happened with the ER? You alright?
The car looks great. Does "on the road" mean having that motor rebuilt too? By the way, I thought you gave up drinking!

no, nothing like that. got hit with a BAD case of flu. 105 fever, and they had to run 2 liters of fluid into an IV cause i was so dehidrated. sucked bad.

i'm not gonna rebuild the motor yet. gonna run it as is, and hope it lasts the summer. for the bet, all we have to do is get em on the road, legal like. shit, not even registered, but they have to still be legal. ya know, lights, brake lights, etc.

as for the booze thing, i've found a few good occassions for a drink. my birthday being one, and winning this bet will be another.

gimme a holler when you are back. you'll need to come down to the new place and check it out.

Man that car has a perfect stance, good stuff. BTW I dig the radiator shell, you don't see a "T" on an "A" too often, it usually the other way around. I dig it. JMO

  13. Sounds like you got the same thing Michelle had (thats why we didn't come down for Kat's party). She was laid up for a week. I've got it now, I've been sick since Monday. Unfortunately, I don't have the option to "call in sick).

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I'll be sure and come down when I'm back next Month. FYI the Rev and the Suckers are playing in Bellingham a tthe end of March...

Well shit, if all you have to do is get the damn thing running, you should be able to walk witht he bet no problem. I've got a milk crate you can use for a seat....
