WE pulled a set of axles from a Ford 9 inch. We had a stuborn bearing and friend helping me heat the axle nicked it with the torch.

I pretty much don't want to run it cause I've had 2 axles break on me already in the past. One was a pretty ugly accident. Both had cracks in the axle that where there for a long time. It would take some convincing to get me to run it.

Problem is it's a narrowed rear (not a race car) and will need new axles. Who is the best at new axles....good price?

Moser. Fast turnaround, too. Usually within 48 hrs.

Clark , I can believe that happened so I will go with Moser too . I have 2 friend running Mustangs and they both have Moser's in them . They are both running in the 500 HP range with no problems at all .
I am going to have to stop by to see what you have to break the axles . Can't be that white one I like so much is it ?

IT is for my pops 46 Dodge pick up. I tried to talk him into a wider rear with some narrower tires. he doesn't want to buy new wheels. It's got 15x10 American's on it.

Unless the nick is really more than a 'nick' I wouldn't be too worried about using it for a mild street application. I've seen that happen and reused with no further problems.

Yeah Moser for custom axles. Otherwise, you could order blanks and get them cut. I have a guy who machines my axles.

How the heck is he doing that with a sbm ? I p***ed him too many times on 83 to think he has that much torque . Yea those tires are big on the rear too . They all look kool but easy to twist axles and brake U joints .
