Somebody posted a hot rod Excalibur a while back, it was kick ***, but then the early Excaliburs weren't really cheezeball kit cars either.

Totally off-topic for this board, but a buddy of mine had a Super 7 with a heavily modified twin cam toyota motor (stroked, big cams, big mikuni side-drafts, ported head) foot wide hoosiers on all four corners, thing was a rocket, absolutely DOMINATED the local autocross scene for a while. Was like a 200hp go-kart. Not my cup of tea, but man, would that thing go around corners.

I have a late sixties east coast mag with a TF that had a 427 ford/toploader in it (YIKES!) I will try to dig it up and post a couple pics on Sunday.

  13. That car certainly pushes all of my ****ons. I have seen a modifed TC on the street with Buick/Rover ally V8 power.

Back in the day these old TD's and TCs often had Ford V8-60's swapped into them. So nothing new about hottrodding one of these. So, go for it.

As stated, get one of the kits that actually resembles the orginal and not some cr*** caricacture as some of them can be.
