dont quite understand the whole philosphy of some business owners .You would think with the down turn in the economy and people not spending as much on things that arent necessities, you'd want to be on top of your game.
I ordered a pair of chrome pulleys for a sbc from MotorChrome.com in Elk Grove California. Not a big order.but still ,crank and wp pulley was $47.00 and
    $9.00 to ship to Ohio.
I recieved my order today and was a little disapointed.Crank pulley was ok but the water pump pulley had a scratch on the front and rust on the back. Not just light surface stuff but a pretty good bead going around the pulley grove where it meets the cone area.I called their customer service and was told that was hard to believe as all their orders are inspected...then she informed me it was just "residue" from the chroming process.Sorry I say BS this is rust.Really wasnt expecting much out of this phone call.I was told If I sent it back they would inspect it..I already knew the answer, but I asked her who was gonna pay for the shipping...Of course it would be me...I informed her I was not gonna pay to ship a 17.00 pulley back to California..Of course I got the "its our policy".... well yeah.
I informed her I thought it pretty much sucked that they could put a piece of crap in a box and unless I paid to ship it back so they could inspect it I would be stuck with this thing....So I told her fine that I would never purchase from their company again and I would tell everyone i knew about it.she seemed to be a little offended..Just wanted to vent and to share an all to familiar story about some parts companies anymore..sorry for bring so long winded..........dave

You should e-mail them a link to this post. I'm sure everyone seeing this will shy away from them, I know I will. Going to cost them a helluva lot more than $17 and $9 in shipping in lost sales with over 100,000 plus people seeing this post about the crappy way they treat customers.

how about some pictures of what you're talking about?

  4. That really sucks. I have gotten similar treatment from other companies. It really chaps my hiney that we are in a depression and the freaking companies raise their prices. What is the logic?

No offense, but it's people that cave in and accept the shit they send out that makes companies think they can get away with this shit...because they can.

Their parts look pretty cheesy on their website. Like generic chrome crap that cruise night aficionados go crazy for. Doesn't look like anything you couldn't find in the Spectre aisle at Pep Boys, except their stuff is usually decent quality for the price
