Hello fello car guys/gals, I just picked a 29 ford pickup yesturday. Its all original. I wont be able to work on it for a while, but when I start on it I'm gonna get rid of the original drivetrain. I was wondering if anyone knew what the drivetrain would be worth. Ill try to sell it complete (engine, tranny and rear end). The dash cluster reads 31k miles. The truck has been parked since 1966. I havent had the time to see if the engine is seized up or not, but since it has very little miles I would think its fine. Im pretty sure those flathead four bangers ran forever. If anyone has an idea what I could get for it Id appreciate it. Thanks Chuck

The truck is paid for but is still sitting in friends shop. I need to make room at the house before I pick it up. Here is a pic of it: Its all there and solid. I will PM you when I get it home if youd like to come take a look.
Before you sell ANYTHING... decide what style of hot rod that you want to build... hot rod meaning anything but one of those POS Rat Rods! There's a guy on here that built a BITCHEN '29 pu... using mostly stock shit... including the motor... the dude is from over seas... look for a pic of it on hop up on line... Sam.
I know these trucks can look bad ass. Althought most will not agree, I am going to put in a SBC, overdrive tranny, and ford 9in read end. Ive been building the SBC for a while now, it will be pretty nasty. Bored .030 over, 2.02 heads, nasty cam, solid lifters. All Im still deciding on is the carburation setup, although Im leaning towards some sort of a weber set-up. But Ive got all the time in the world to decide, Im in no hurry of getting it done. I am 99.99% sure I will not be using the stock drivetrain.
