This may sound a little childish but it kinda pisses me off. I built and sold a kick ass chopper last year and now the guy that bought it is claiming it be his own custom ground up build. Can i ask a favor. Can you guys email him and tell him that you know for sure he didn't build it because you seen it in a magazine stating that Matt from King Pin Customs did, and that he sould be ashamed for doing so. his email cservice@obtindustries.com a pic of what he has done http://ecs.obtindustries.com/images/photos/projects/ecschopper.jpg his website http://ecs.obtindustries.com/ My Links Here is a link to the chopper underground mag that it is in now. http://www.chopperunderground.com Also a link to pics of the build http://community.webshots.com/user/tankwilson Look under king pin custom chopper build 1 Thanks in advance matt
Here is a link to pics i took during the build. Look under king pin customs chopper build 1 http://community.webshots.com/user/tankwilson
Thanks guys in advance. I really appericate that. I don't consider just changing the exhaust pipes, which is about the only thing he did, a ground up build. NAIL HIM. Thanks matt
http://community.webshots.com/user/tankwilson No problem. Look here. Look under king pin customs chopper build 1. There is also pics of the 49 Plymouth i bought off scarliner. This is the only proof i have. I also know that choprods, roadsterpilot, and jstorm can vouch for me. Thanks matt
Unfortunately, Tank...it spills over from the muscle car world, the hot rod world, the street rod world, the truk world and the kustom world...most guys find it offensive to say they "bought" it and have to make themselves credible by telling everyone...and I mean everyone, they "built" it... It's a fact of life...get used to it...live with it. Otherwise you'll make yourself crazy every time you sell some of your hard work!!! R-
You are very right. I know i shouldn't worry about it, but thought it might be funny if i could get back a little. No problem i am on to my next two projects now. Thanks
It is a beautiful bike he built, got to see it at teh smoke out and thought it was one of the best there. To bad another took credit for it. I think the exhaust was the neatest thing i have see on one, too bad he changed it.
Hey, I think you need to do it in public, like they did to Mullithead when he was claiming he built that radical low A.

If you feel the need to bash, be gentle -hahaha. Oh yeah, I have a metal plate in my head and enjoy magnetic stimulation. Ladies only please. Chopa
Yeah I did like Matts pipes as well, but now they sound like the fucking devil screaming out of hell. They also do not overheat the rider. I have been overwhelmed with the response to the pipes I built and got over 15 exhaust jobs do to them - so its just a matter of taste. O yeah - I DID NOT BUILD THIS BIKE NOR DO I CLAIM TO HAVE! Chopa
I am glad Matt has moved on and wish him the best in his adventures. Next time talk to the person you have the problem with and you will find it to be a healthier choice. What is this the 3rd grade? No hard feeling, just want to clear up this name smear campaign. Remember, I have a lot of friends out there, over 40 years worth, that will be judging you - SO BE NICE. Chopa

Matt; Your opening line says it all. Asking us who may have never seen it or know you to say we did and do is just as wrong. I've been Building, Chopping, and frame grafting for 40+ years. I attend a lot of events and see lot's of my old work. Nearly every person that holds the keys to those cars will say they did it. It tells you all about them selfs in 3 words you need to know. Get over it and move on. When you think about it, it's kind of a complement when they do that. They know they couldn't have done any better. The Wizzard
LOL, I can't believe someone would lie like that. I want to call him names but I won't come down to his level. the only thing i can think of is maybe he's trying to start a business so he wants people to see he's good?
I'm confused, you're from King Pin? and you bult it under that name, right? a few of the links don't work. do you have a link where he said he built it instead? or did you just hear from people at the smoke out that he built it?
He (Matt from King Pin Choppers) claimed that I (Chopa from El Chop'a Shop) claimed his bike as my own. That was nothing but a lie. I have been in business under that name since 1998 and in the customizing business all of my life - learned from my pappy and he has over 40 years! So don't need to claim his bike although it was a pretty cool rig. It did have lots of major problems that we fixed - broke frame and endless other weak items. But we got her fixed up and painted to look 10+. I hope to have our bikes up soon, but after all this BS, I have discussed just removing our company from the web so that we don't have to deal with people saying this or that and down loading our pictures so they can steel them. Whee what a world we live in huh! Chopa PS: Do you have a website? Like to see your work, promise i won't steal anything off it...hahaha
As a fellow Texan i can't believe you would just take some chatter as fact! This guy just plain slaughtered my GOOD Name and I am signing up everywhere to defend myself from such crap! I did not and will not ever claim others work - don't need to, have my own that others claim, welcome to the real world Matt. Guilty before proven innocent? People should watch their words and gather the facts. Chopa
Wouldnt removing your website take away 90% of the exposure your shop would get in this technology based world we live in.
I have never needed more business than i have today. My father built his business around the customer and I have followed his footsteps. I am living in Arkansas at this time but most of our work comes out of Houston, Texas area where I'm from. We have such a great customer base that we have never really had to do more than print business cards and give them to friends. I guess I'm just old fashion and don't need a computer to do my work - i am a people person if that makes any sense at all...ha. We had a website a while back that had flash and all that good stuff, but it brought us few jobs that did not pan out to much. We stay busy because we love our job and love working with folks. You don't need a TV commercial or website to build a successful business. I would say we have done very well with a 40yr Body Shop, A used car lot, a metal fab shop, and a retail store all with no credit or bank loans - and no personal loans. Just reinvest your money in yourself not in beer and smokes. I'm not rich just happy with what I have done so far. Have a good one, Chopa
Prove it Lets see some pics of the finished bike and then i will put it to rest. Thanks matt wilson O by the way it is KING PIN CUSTOMS. not choppers.
