40 Ford Power Trunk Lift Suggestions Wanted

Now that I have learned to "trunk" instead of "truck";

Has anyone installed a power lift on a 40 Ford trunk? If so, do you have any pictures, suggestions?

 

I recently bought a '41 ford that has hydraulic lifts on the trunk lid but it was froze up so I unbolted it. I don't know if this is something someone made or bought but it has 2 big cylinders 3" diameter by about 3' long and a pump. I'm pretty sure this stuff is junk but it may give you an idea that may work for your '40. I'll get you some pix if you want.

 

Might look at the hydraulic system that was put into the convertibles.
