Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TIMMY P, Sep 12, 2010.

  1. With alot of help from some great friends, I took the car out to the first cruise night this weekend. Its not done but close enough to cruise. I am done just in time to make it to the Goodguys show in Joliet next weekend.

Looking good. I also like your use of the Buick headlight trim.

  16. Thanks for the replies. Yes they are 62 Monterey taillights, I bought them at a swap meet and didnt knpw what they were at the time. I just thought they looked cool and would fit the look I was after so I bought them.

    Hey,

WOW! probably one of the best '49-52 "Shiv-o-lays'', the "LaJolla" excepted ,I've seen built in the last fifty years!
Do the vent wings go back in to avoid that "street rod'' look?

Black Cherry & Murano pearl in acrylic lacquer for colour?

they are a different take on the caddy bullet style look...really nice job. How'd you go about lowering it?

    very nice hot rod

  23. Its just a black basecoat clearcoat with cinnamon mettallic scallops. I lowered it with bags on the stock front end and air over leafs in the back.

  24. The wing windows will go back in when I get them chopped down. Yes it is a Meteor grill.

  25. I had a good weekend with the car. I won the chopped and dropped award at goodguys, my name was drawn for one of the giveaway prizes, and my son won the junior division in the model contest.
