Word circulates that Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins underwent emergency brain surgery Monday. Prayers and kind thoughts on his behalf would be appreciated.

Wow,he's like 80 years old and was always smoking a cigar,he's lived longer than most.Hopefully he got some more quality time left.
1966,Englishtown NJ was fairly new I believe,Wednesday nite grudge races.Rode down with a friend in his 327-350 Chevy 2,he made a few passes.Jenkins was working under the hood of his Chevy 2.We stood there for a minute up close,I remember it had a Ford coil.My buddy asked it was a special coil.Jenkins looked at us and said " The special is inside the engine".

When you ask my old man about Bill he'll tell you the only story he knows about him. He was eating breakfast at a coffee shop the weekend of a big drag race when Bill walked in to have his. He only knew who he was because he saw his rig out front through the window. A semi pulled in and blocked the view of it for a while and Grumpy proceeded to order his breakfast. The semi pulled away and his rig was gone. The Grump tossed his eggs in the air.
