  2. it would be great to have , but honestly i have my doubts it will ever get done

  3. With as much growth as there has been that way in the last 15 years I doubt it will happen. Too many subdivisions creeping that way.

  4. Not a snowballs chance in hel. I hear about this sort of thing every couple years and NOTHING ever gets going. Too many sissies in politics and crybabies that move in after it's built and start *****ing. I used to shoot at a gun club in Ham Lake. They built houses by it and the homeowners got it shut down. What kind of dullard builds a house by a gun club and then *****es about the noise? Kind of like the dimwits that move by the airport and then complain. A friend's neighbor was that way. He wasn't even born when that place was built, but he was more than happy to ***** about it. Nope, it'll never happen. Not in the state where fun is not allowed. The DFL will get the Greenies to raise a stink, too.

I'm going to sign the pe***ion anyway, it won't get my hopes up, but I'll give it my support.

Well all we can do is fill out the questionaire and let them know what people support in this state, and area. i would love to see it too, but i think the problem is too many people think it wont happen, so they never say anything about it. this is a way for people to express their opinions about it, and maybe get heard. you can sit back and say it will never happen and all that, but the right people i dont think are hearing what people like us have to say because we all "including myself" have never said anything about it to someone that "matters" i asked bull to put this up for me and for the gsta orginization just to get people to speak up. at least if they dont build a track here they will still know how many people are into motorsports in general. thanks for the support.

I, too, have my doubts that this will get any further than the initial planning phases, but I will support it anyway as I would like to see another motorsports venue in MN. If my memory serves me correctly, this proposed facility is being backed by the same group that has tried and failed twice before to build a similar facility in other MN cities. Each time they bring something to the table they seem to be more polished in their efforts. Maybe practice makes perfect?

I think the group trying to do it in the past is the one who ended up buying the Brainerd facilities. They got tired of the runaround from the government and just bought something that was grandfathered in.
It does seem like about every 4-5 years there's a new proposal, but unless they build in BFE near NOTHING, it will never happen. But then if it's in BFE, then nobody go anyway, right? I'd LOVE to see something closer though!

Having been on the track development committee for Land O Lakes region SCCA experience tells me the chances of getting a track built in Utopia minded Minnesota is about o percent at best. Between the MPCA and the DNR they alone will kill any new project.
