Can any body suggest a bumpsteer problem for a 1950 Chevy pickup lowered well over factory tolerances? (4"-6")
The drag link to the steering arm angle is real bad and I keep going back to thinking of heating the steering arm and forming it back to acceptable geometry (almost like heat dropping the front axle)
Shortening the pitman arm would cause much faster steering and mess up the radius so I realy want to avoid that.
    Anybody tried this before?
(I have searched and found nothing under this exact )

    Thanks

They got them for $180 at www.fatmanfab.com!

    Good luck!

  3. We did it this way and no bumpsteer. Before and after the modifications. We cut and rotated the drag link and moved it's attatchment point to the other side, same on the cross link.

I had a 4 inch dropped axle in my 48 chevy pickup for a couple years. I heated and bent the steerings arms with my torch. Make sure to let them cool down slowly. If I remember correctly, I made my own draglink and flipped it on the steering arm so that it ran parallel and not at an angle with the pitman arm. Hope that helps??
