I am thinking of making a padded top insert for my A sedan. I have put a steel top on it,but wanted to add a little soul to it. Lengthwise narrow pleats,in white nagahyde. What material would be best for a base? wood, plastic, aluminum? Pictures would be nice also. Thanks, Sparky

i put a top in my tudor, but it still had the wood frame, so i used it to secure the material .sorry, i have no pictures of it. i'll make a point of getting some this weekend.i used marine vinyl it was ribbed already, and i got some jumbo trim w/blk vinyl over metal it kinda ****ed getting it all spread open, but you got to do what you got to do.cut the material to fit. screw it down. fold the trim back shut, and i was done.it took me ,and my wife about two hours from start to finish.
