Greetings from GA racing fan

I have lurked on the board for a while and finally decide to introduce myself. A longtime racing fan, I am currently writing two books about various aspects of auto racing. The first is about why Americans like to go fast and the second is about Joan Newton Cuneo, in my opinion, the outstanding female driver of the first two decades of the 20th century.
In my real life, I am a history prof.
