Before someone ask Biola is a small farming comunity 7 miles west of Fresno, off of Shaw ave. Beleve me this is the Worlds Bigest two Block Parade. You think Im kidding check it out. I remember seeing some local tv news coverage on this parade, and the town itself, last year. Now that I've got a mobile automobile, I think I'll take you guys up on your offer. Can I also suggest that if you're in an "End of the year" cruisin' mode, there are actually three Saturdays in a row to show off your rides and hangout with like minded rodders around our Central Valley (look at it kinda like a Power Tour thing - minus the sticker) Oct 2nd - Caruthers District Fair parade (free entry & free fair)10:00 Info (559)864-3768 Oct 9th - Eagle Field Reunion, Firebaugh 7:00 open ($15.00 gate) Oct 16th - Biola Raisin Days (Free entry) see above threads
That's a very colorful dasher... I'm checking my AAA card status as we speak Can we get a rollcall of the "Power Cruisin' Tour" participants (remember to call the "info"numbers for entry/registration)
Regarding the Caruthers District Fair parade entry info... a better contact number(actual parade coordinator) is Ph# 864-3109 http://www.caruthersfair.com/Jr. Livesotck HB/Parade Application.pdf I just talked to them, and they said to try and get in touch with them in next few days to be in the parade. You can FAX the entry into them (#864-8778). Jim, Is there a "drop dead" entry date on the Biola parade? And does anybody have some type of HAMB banner?
Yes kind off sort off. Are parade charman says Oct. 1st. is the cut off to be judged in parade. Late entrys after Oct. 1st. You still will able to cruise the parade with out being judged for a parade trophy. The car show wiil take entrys threw the day of the show. And eveyone will be judged for car show trophies. Hay guys this is a free car show and a dam good one. Down load those entry forms prade and car show. TODAY NOT TOMAROW. It will only cost you a stamp. Time is getting late. You know you want to go and you know we want you there. Send those forms in. Even if you are a no show we will be happy you entered and tryed to make it. Forms at www.biolaraisinday.com Thanks Jim oldskooljc@hotmail.com
A group of friends and I would love to head over for this someday but it keeps landing on the same day as the Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield. That may be something too look at for future events. You're not that far from Famoso so you are fighting them for the same cars.
Well ****. I was planning on doing the show but i cant miss the HRA. Isn't it a federal law that if you live within 300 miles of Famosa you have to attend?l
CHRR - TWO day show, (C'mon you guys can split the love) Biola Raisin Day - One day show (and with a parade and FREE street parking and Deep Pit BBQ?!, C'mon.)
Up one more time. New add to fallow. October 15 2011. This year were not the same week end as bakersfield. abought time. thanks Jim
Maybe I'll come up for one of those dates in October. My Aunt has a place in Caruthers not too far from the the airplane on top of the gas station?
