Does anyone know what company makes Road King Sport S/R white wall tires? Ive been looking on the internet trying to locate the company responsible for making these tires, and cant seem to find out anything.

I just finished up putting a u-joint in today and went out on a test drive. About 10 miles down the road i start getting a bad vibration and the next thing i know it sounds like a machine gun going off in the front of the truck. Then my floorboard opens up like a can of tuna and starts to smoothe out as i get off the side of the highway. I look back and there in the middle of the road is what used to be the tread of my front tire.

I've only put roughly 700 miles on these tires and that makes me think it was a faulty tire.

Looks like i'll be riding shotgun in dads 50 ford shoebox to the James Dean run this weekend... but i guess thats not a real bad thing

Put a spare on. You would rather not go to a show/cruise than have to put on a spare?

700 miles? Did you purchase new? Warranty?

Sounds like a "house brand" tire. How long ago did you buy them and where from?

    Warranty?

    If no, you're SOL

Sure, the manufacturer would be responsible for a defect, but so would the shop that sold it to you....
You do know who sold it to you, right?

How old by date on sidewall? They could have been "new" but on shelf too long before sold to you.

I used to run Road Kings years ago. They were made by BFG and sold at Discount tire. Never had a problem. Good quality.
