Well as if we didn't already know but the old car market is toast. Barret Jackson just confirmed and helped to lower the value of most cars. A lot of cars went for almost nothing. This is great for those of us looking to buy, but there are a lot of people out there going to lose money when they try to sell.

GOOD!! Now maybe cars can get into the hands of REAL car guys. I'm a life-long car nut and into it for the love of the cars, not the "investment".

The ones who pushed it too high in the first place? I don't get it. Reminds me of Goldilocks. It's too hot. It's too cold. When will it be just right?

Who gives a ****? This isn't a market, it's my ****ing life! I didn't get into this because I thought I was gonna make a killing on something, and I bet 95% on here feel the same.

  7. Barrett Jackson is just a venue, supply and demand drive the market. Our hobby cars are basically non-necessities and the market has fluctuated since the first car got a 'for sale' sign hung on it. If you're a car guy, buy up a few. If you don't want to lose $$, then don't sell.

This is nothing new. The economy goes up, the economy goes down. People lose money, people make money. I agree Barrett Jackson ruined a lot of buying and selling of cars because everyone thinks their car is worth $10,000 more than it really is because they "seen it on the TV goin fer that price." However, dont look at it as losing money. Look at it as the price you pay to drive something you enjoy.

Pardon my ignorance, but have Barrett Jackson done something specific, or is this just a general rant:confused:
