Hello All, My name is Glen, and I currently live in Montreal. I grew up in the Niagara Region of Ontario, about 20 mins. from Niagara Falls. I inherited a deep-seated love for cars from my dad, who is 50 years my senior. Over his lifetime he has owned over 50 cars (which may not be much to some of you here, I realize!), and many of those were from the '30s and '40s. Off the top of my head, his favourites were: - '34 Buick 57 S, with sidemounts (he always has complained about the cracked exhaust manifold it had) - '27 Es*** Boattail Speedster - '40 LaSalle - '31 Chrysler Imperial roadster (with sidemounts) - '33 Ford roadster My favourites were the eight '63 Dodge B-bodies that he owned, starting with the 440 convertible he bought off our next door neighbour. That started his obsession, which he aptly p***ed on to me. The eight consisted of: 2 convertibles (the 440 above and Polara 500), 2 wagons (a 330 and 440), 3 four doors (all sedan 330s and 440s), and 1 two door 330. I have since owned 1 four door 440 sedan. We are now friends with the father and son who currently own the 440 wagon, which gets bracket raced from time to time. I currently own an '80 LeSabre four door that was put together on the cheap by a buddy of mine from Pittsburgh. He sold it to me in '07. It has a '70 Buick 350-4, a TH-350 with a shift kit, an 8.5" rear with posi and 3.42s. It's pictured below at Quaker City in '06. It has run 15.26 @ 89, and has even 60 ftd. at 1.99. Not really fast by any means, but faster than anyone would think. That makes it fun for now -- rather sleeper. I love traditional rods (of course), g***ers, '60s S/S, sleepers, budget builds, 4spd land yachts (made all the better if they have bench seats), and oval dirt track. I'm looking forward to being here!
