true it was missing people that's for sure. it needed to be promoted better. I did get to look at all the cars a lot closer. with out feeling I had to take a quick look at some. on the funny side I did like seeing the lifeguard truck and the lifeguard there for the pond lol

so why did the cruise Flop so bad? was there no organization? i got there at 7:30 and saw about 7 cars getting in line for the cruise. i thought cool it's going to start soon. i got a good spot to sit. watched the cars go around 3 times the same 7- 10 cars for 15mins. then it was over. i walked over to the parking lot and checked out the cars there.

how many confirmed cars that registered for the show? anyone?

oh yeah it's 76 here in LB. that's why i hate the valley and i moved out of Riverside. to damn hot.

I wish I knew the answer to that question, but look at the up side... it can only get better haha....

I was told there were 215 pre-registered cars for the out door show and 195 confirmed, but I only saw what looked like about 100-120.

i went to the OC cruising for the cure car show in the morning before heading back to LB. man there must have been at least 1500+ cars in OC. now don't start saying that's probably why the show was small. it was a different crowd street rods mostly, Kustoms a lot vendors very cool.

they could have picked a different date too a week ahead or after

That many cars going to draw a crowd and get more vendors for sure. Maybe it was just bad timing.

    Right on.
I thought it was a *****in' little inaugural. I'm glad it wasn't over-the-top and has room to grow. Lotta cool stuff to see inside and the usual monsters and kitty cats outside. I got there late Saturday and half the cars outside were gone, though a nice laid back vibe. If I live long enough, I'll be back next year. (No event t-shirt?)

Promoted better? How about 100 grand?

It was in rotation in 10 different car magazines. The commercial that I did was played 5200 times on time Warner cable with car related shows.

It was on 2 radio stations one being KLOS

And for the past 8 months Trace has been personally going to every car show and p***ed out fliers...I don't know how much more he could of done.

As for the cruise.. He originally had the street closed off but not enough cars
registered so Trace and the city decided to have one lane..

Sure some stuff was a little unorganized but when you put on a show at the
Magnatude your going to have some bugs..Trace is not a big production company
It's really just Trace and Ryan that put this together... We have to keep supporting it
so it continues for a very long time cause it's only going to get better and more fine tuned..

Even some of those other shows that have been around are still unorganized and have allot
    of other issues..

All I know is that I saw an original renegade member in tears thanking trace for putting thist together cause he had not seen some of his fellow club members in 50 years... Thats what it's all about presurving our history...there will be no other show like it ! Period!

I agree... I think the show was promoted very well. I'm from the Netherlands and I knew about this show month in advance. And have been looking forward to the show ever since. I think you must live uner a rck if you have not heard about this one.
To bad I could not be ther in person, but the photos showing up here on the HAMB have been fantastic.
The only thing that can be changed for next year is a better website with all the important info on the home page. I have seen a lot of post about people wondering about the hours, price etc. I was able to find all that, but it was not as easy as it should have been.

I hope the team will continue with this show in the years to come... and hopefully I can make it out there next year. What I have seen so far is amazing, great selection of custom cars, well thought out displays, with a lot of respect to how the shows where held in the 1950's. Great work!

Why is every post from you negative? Seriously this is the best show I have shown a car in! And I have done alot of indoor shows! Did you even go to the show? Please take your negativity some where else! this show is GREAT and like Alex said if you live with in THREE HOURS of Long Beach and did not come to this SHOW, you should find another hobby!

I ended up walking the show. My back was killing me, I pushed my 4200# Olds out of 3 intersections before giving up and tow trucking it home. But, I can say that Trace and Riun did a bang up job on this. The feel was just right for a Kustom show. The old time club guys were loving it. Who knows better about car shows, featuring customs, should look and feel, than real members of the Renegades, Tritons, Cut Outs and other old time car clubs? They sure liked it.

I look forward to next year. I hope they made enough to keep it going. With the Beatnik Blowout and the Motorama, there is inspiration for the custom movement to keep innovating and amazing us all with new cars for quite a while.

Great show, I am entering my niekamp inspired roadster next year. I thank all involved for putting on a great show. I had a great time talking to ****, one of the original memebers of the Renegades, he showed us pics of his 32 and had some great stories.

Big crowd or not, I'm pretty bummed my car wasn't finished in time for this spectacle. The main hall was a stunning display of motorized creations that won't soon be matched. Hot rods, customs, lowriders, historical cars, survivors etc.

Bravo Trace for even attempting this.

i thought it was a great show. i brought my wife and 2 kids with me. everyone had a good time. i did like how there wasn't a lot of people there. got time to really drool over a lot of beautiful cars. i was only at the show for like 2 hr. to me that was a good amour to see what i saw. if they have it next. ill be there again. it really had a different feel to it. kind of how it might of felt back in the daytime glad there wasn't a bunch of ****py cars there. i don't think i say anything i would of not liked to see there. everyone who worked there ***es off to make this show. THANK YOU!! YOU DID A GREAT JOB!! we need more shows like this.

This show was awesome. The layout was Perfect! I will be back next year. I had my skepticism about this show, but glad it turned out to the best! You can walk out and garb something to eat and downtown gatherings in walking distance. This is for sure a very nice location. The vibe was awesome too. People that wanted to be there were there, so no Riff Raffs were there. This show is the best thing to happen in SoCal in long time. I'm waiting for next year and forgetting the other shows. Thanks.......The Renegades CC tribute was aw inspiring...and meeting some of the members...too cool. Oh! the main display of cars was cool, the aerial view made look weird, but being there put it all in perspective. Only thing, if you didn't know, there were more cars on the side.

Im in South Texas and heard about the show, so I must agree that it was well promoted.

Seems like a super cool show. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it (was in town the weekend before :( ), but quite proud that So Tex was well represented by the *** and Boerne Stage folks.

    First of all,

THANKS to Trace and all involved. I have never been to a show that had the feel and cl*** that this show had. The venue was perfect, the layout was awesome, and of course, car quality was top notch. The light crowd was great and horrible. It was great because it felt like an intimate gathering and you could just pour over the cars for as long as you wanted with out being in anyones way. Horrible, because let's face it, these guys poured some CASH into this show and small crowd = poor return on investment. I REALLY hope that these guys broke even. If they didn't I feel like we should take up an offering to help them out. It was kinda like your favorite band comes to town, they play a great show, but not alot of people show up. It was kinda weird. They had the balls to throw THE BEST indoor Custom car show that i have ever been to. they did not cut any corners, or sacrifice their vision and it cost a lot of $$$$ not to mention the hours and hours of work promoting and organizing. THANK YOU for putting this together, i hope there is another, and if I can be of any ***istance next year please let me know. I would be proud to donate my time to this amazing event.
