Hello to fellow HAMB´ers from Scandinavia! Actually i have been a member of HAMB for a few years and also i have followed Classifieds and discussions and events, but never introduced myself . From this forum i did bought a chopped 51 Chevy from fellow HAMBer Sam F. a few years ago. Well well.. i am 39 yrs guy who lives about 15 miles from the Russian border in a city of Lappeenranta, Finland. I have owned few old american cars (57 Olds 98, 62 Chevy Impala conv, 49 Merc, 31 Ford A coupe, 51 Chevy, 52 Chevy conv). Most of these cars i have bought directly from US. I also have had 3 Harleys during the years. Currently i have ´97 Softail with 92" S&S hi-po engine, which has been modified to a 50´s styled bobber/racer. Currently i have a ´52 Chevy convertible which is shaved, lowered and pinstriped custom with inline six engine. I have also restorated/customized several cars during the years, so i guess this is not just a hobby anymore, you could describe it some sort of madness or disease.. Well anyway, i think these old american battleships are worth of my time and money and guess i´ll never get rid of them, even if i wanted to.. But i don´t want to!! And that I have to admit to myself and to my family... Thank god they understand. What else about me? Other hobbies are hunting, fishing, shooting and martial arts and i will find time to those things too when ever possible. My work? Totally different if compared to my hobbies. I used to work as a computer technician for 10 yrs, but i quit my job, went to school and studied and gratuated as a Bachelor of Sciences in Forestry. Yes, i know sounds way different from my hobbies and previous work. But i have always loved the nature and the wildlife too. Today i work as a purchase manager in one of the Finnish forest companies. But that´s about it, work itself is not important or interesting to anyone. I do it for the money. That´s pretty much about me. First i thought to write only few lines, but this is it.. We have finally summer here in Finland, it is nice to put top down and head for the open road. I visit this site regularly so hope to keep in touch.. Thanks, Jussi
