Well, changed again...geesh. I appreciate all the comments suggestions on my wheel/tire choices for my '63 Biscayne project. Actually I have decided to go a little different direction with it, other than building a true looking "Sleeper". So, now, after several tire/wheel changes, I am happy. Getting the stance I really like. Took the small tires and '409' rims off the front and replaced with 14"x7" rims w/245/60/14" tires. Back now has 14"x8" rims with H70/14 tires. Front and rear rims both were old style with the nubs for small hub caps, and were also chromed. (with surface rust) Sanded a lot and then painted them the color that the bottom of my Biscayne will be..... Here are a few pics of the rims/wheels and present stance, which will be somewhat lower in the front when I get the V8 installed. Decided the top will remain black, with the bottom a grey like the color of the rims. Sooo, what you think ?? Cheers, Bob
Yah, will probably switch to bias on the front when I get a few bucks in the future. Grille is an experiment I have been messing with..... So far rims/tires have been bought very reasonably. You sure were right tho Bob on the front tires being too small before.....never realized it totally, till I changed rear wheels, and put the rear ones (that I had replaced a while back) on the front....(the 245's) Stopped to say HI Sunday on the way back from Jefferson swap meet, but you weren't there...so "HI" Cheers...
First thing I thot of when I enlarged it "That's a Mopar, what's he talking about...???" Without the dual headlights, it looks like an early Dart... I'm not sure that grille bar adds anything to the cars looks...but if the owner likes it...that's all that's important...!!! R-
