Hi All, I'm going to be in Phoenix for 4 days next week (October 2 to 5). My first trip to the States, just wondering what is worth seeing in Phoenix in the couple of days I'm not working, expecially hotrod/custom/cl***ic car related?

    Thanks!

If you want to see an old boneyard , you might as well stop in at Desert Valley Auto Parts in North Phoenix and just take a walk around.

Peoria Swap sounds like fun. Might have to take a look into what it'll take for me to get up there. Any forms of public transport to use/avoid?

The cruise at 83rd Ave 7 Union Hills (Safeway parking lot) on Saturday evening usually draws 300+ cars, the cruise at 35th and Northern on Friday night is much smaller but you may find some HAMB guys.

Go over to Mesa and over on Washington avenue , theres Papago Park. There was a restoration shop near by when I worked there in 1988 too. Actually , to em I don't miss thw area . Mesa looks as though it was built no more than ten years ago! scrubba

Its going to take you a long time to travel around town on public transport. The Phoenix metro area is spread over quite a large, well... area. You can check bus/light rail schedules at www.valleymetro.org.
