Not sure yet what to do with mine, hoping for some inspirational pictures from you all. This is my first project~
I will eventually build one, my dad has a 57 100 that has been in our family all my life and i have always wanted one to mate up to his. Here is a few inspiration pics i have saved... some of them are Suburbans but they will still inspire! Good Luck and keep us posted.
keep in mind that it's also possible to build one in a more traditional way, so it's not laying on the ground
Very true, but it is nice to see the full spectrum from mild to wild, all the while gathering thoughts and ideas from each one to turn into a personal creation.
Somewhere there's a picture thread for the Chevy/GMC trucks from the late 50s... oh, here it is, that didn't take long to find http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=219014
Here's a GMC truck of my friend Kevin that we did at my old shop in Calif. Lengthen the bed and widen it to make the dually fit to look factory look ! It was his grandfathers truck GMC !
Here's my Big Window (it's for sale, BTW) that I built this past year. I had to have a 57 with that one-year-only grille. Drives great with upgraded chassis and drivetrain, and gets lots of attention wherever I go with it. You will be amazed how fast that parts tab adds up. The chrome on the nose is what makes these trucks! build pics http://img97.imageshack.us/g/37851672.jpg/
