  1. I have been lurking on this site for years, and have always enjoyed the great posts and awesome pictures. I figured that it was about time to join the fray.

I have been into cars since I was in grade school (I'm 46 now). I am currently building a '55 Chevy truck. To call it "currently" would be an understatement. I started on this thing in 1993, did the initial suspension work in 1994, bought a house, started a family, remodeled the house, worked 6-7 days a week at my job, etc, etc, etc.... Meanwhile, the poor truck just sat in the garage. I would have spurts where I would work on it for a few weeks at a time, but it always seemed like when the bills rolled around, there was always something more important than the truck. It's the typical blue-collar guy hot rod dilemna.

Well, now I'm back on it. The motor is almost done, the suspension is getting updated, and lots of other things in work as well. I set a goal to have it ready for either the March Meet or the Hot Rod Happening next year. I'll start a thread of my build and post pictures as I go along.

I'm happy to be here a****st all of you guys. Here's a couple of pictures from a few months ago:

Looks good man. I hear where your coming from. I have (we all have) a very similar story. I been off again,on again with my build for 12 years. Do a little bit on it every day no matter how small and someday it will be on the road.
