I have been lurking on this site for years, and have always enjoyed the great posts and awesome pictures. I figured that it was about time to join the fray. I have been into cars since I was in grade school (I'm 46 now). I am currently building a '55 Chevy truck. To call it "currently" would be an understatement. I started on this thing in 1993, did the initial suspension work in 1994, bought a house, started a family, remodeled the house, worked 6-7 days a week at my job, etc, etc, etc.... Meanwhile, the poor truck just sat in the garage. I would have spurts where I would work on it for a few weeks at a time, but it always seemed like when the bills rolled around, there was always something more important than the truck. It's the typical blue-collar guy hot rod dilemna. Well, now I'm back on it. The motor is almost done, the suspension is getting updated, and lots of other things in work as well. I set a goal to have it ready for either the March Meet or the Hot Rod Happening next year. I'll start a thread of my build and post pictures as I go along. I'm happy to be here a****st all of you guys. Here's a couple of pictures from a few months ago:
Welcome from Arkansas. Your pickup looks great, love the stance and I like what you've done with the front bumper. Keep it up....
WOW, looks perfect to me, like the front bumper and the big wheels on the back, love that back rims... Any update ??
Looks good man. I hear where your coming from. I have (we all have) a very similar story. I been off again,on again with my build for 12 years. Do a little bit on it every day no matter how small and someday it will be on the road.
