I realized today that I have never posted, just perused and lived vicariously through my Dad's sporadic posting on here. Anyways, allow me to introduce myself. I am Tyler, I am the son of a hot rodder who goes by the name of Dad (to me) and Ern or Ernie (to the rest of you) or Hot Rod Realtor (to anyone looking to buy a house). I literally bleed oil from so many slipped wrenches and busted knuckles. I have a 1929 Ford Tudor that is pretty much stock except for a high compression (5.5:1 KICK *** HIGH COMPRESSION!) Police head. You can find me speeding in 25 mph school zones or going the speed limit anywhere else, because... well... it wont do much more than that. Her name is buzz because if you don't double clutch right then... well yeah, its a sliding gear transmission. I have a 53 Chevy Belair project that is just that, a project. 5.5" top chop and a little welding crazy. It's not my fault, I blame my heritage. I am currently in the Army stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC doing interesting things like jumping out of airplanes (I hate landing in them anyways). I am 25 so if anyone has a good looking daughter around that age feel free to let me know, my Pop can vouch for me, its okay I have a degree to fall back on incase the Army doesn't work out. Also, I can rebuild a model A flat 4 and other important things like start a model A with a hand crank. I look forward to more perusing and perhaps even a comment here and there. Oh, I refuse to join any club because I claim membership in the Keystone Racing team by lineage. Tyler
Tyler, ........nice Intro, .........Welcome to the H.A.M.B. ...........from Arkansas City, KS. Appreciate your service to our country, make damned sure to watch you and your buddies backs, BE SAFE, and come home well. When you are 25 anything looks possible, and it is,.............that is what's so scary. Make sure to come back to the '53 chevy and get it finished. OK? Later, firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
That's hilarious! I love how you describe your '29. I hope no one gives you grief about your screen name. Keep speeding thru those school zones!
I appreciate the welcomes. I originally hail from the great commonwealth of PA in the town of West Chester.
Thank you for your service! Why would anybody jump out of a prefectly good airplane? Welcome from Arkansas...
Tyler--welcome from Rowlett, TX. If that airplane is a C47 i might understand you wanting to get out of it.
