Somebody sent me a wonderful PowerPoint file of vintage beer trucks. Recognizing that they aren't rods or customs, they are period correct for this group and concern a subject dear to more than a few HAMBers. Unfortunately, it appears that I can't load a PowerPoint file onto the board. Can anyone suggest how to convert it so that it can be loaded? There are far too many photos to take it apart and post them individually.
I am Very interested! I have an interest in Beer! Can you make it into a PDF? I know you can post those!
If you have a photo program you can make copies of the pictures by hitting the "Print Screen SysRq" ****on on most computer key boards. Then go into your photo program and past as new image. If you can't do this email me the power point and I'll pull the pictures out for you. PM me for my email.
That model kit says "BEER 5 cents". Holy ****!--a beer for a nickel. Wouldn't that be nice...........
My grandfather was employee #1 at Remke truck body in Detroit (Roseville) MI, I'd be interested in seeing some of the 57-80s trucks to see if one of his is in there.
Im pretty good at drinkin' Beer. trying to figure out power point..??to post em here well ..not so good at that..but im suscribing, hope you find a way
"Nailheads are like ***s... great no matter what size they are." BRAD54 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That is the best sig I've seen anywhere!! Oh yeah, I like beer trucks too. Under my handle it says FNG . Does that mean what I think it does?
You got my attention! I would love to see the pictures. I hope that someone helps you figure out the best way to get them posted! Vintage iron and beer! The only thing that would make it better is if there was also a hot gal in a bikini with a bottle of whiskey! If it weren't for the cargo in some of those old trucks, many of us wouldn't be here today.
50Fraud - HAMBr a54Studebaker sent me the same "Bring me a Beer" PowerPoint slide show ... in order to post it here, I just converted it into two Portable Do***ent Format (PDF) files ... see attached:
The best ones were built in Canada in the 1930's. As I understand it you couldn't advertize beer on billboards, so they spent a ton on money on custom built Beer Trucks, light shows and all.http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/labatt_white_article.htm
I'm new here but those were some awsome Beer Truck Pics. BTW some of those were real hot rods of the day fer trucks that is.
I got somewhat confused on the subject with this post. I thought the thread name was beer trucks, not beer cars! Does it count if I can recognize a beer truck from farther than 30 paces? "It makes me a jolly good fellow!"
