Homer Simpson and the Von Dutch Eye....

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by hamilton, Nov 5, 2003.

  1. While watching my favorite TV show tonite, I spotted this scene and had to snap a shot with my camera, it was sitting on the TV, thought you all would get a kick out this. I'm sure this episode was produced way before the fashion farts discovered Von Dutch....funny stuff....

Matt Groenig is a big car guy, especially VW's. Marge's sisters drive a vw thing, and there's always ghias and bugs in the background.

Yeah, didn't Rev. Lovejoy have a convertible Ghia when he first came to Springfield, it was a flashback scene back to the early 70s.

Hamilton, Do you watch TV with the captions on for the fun of it? I usually do it during King of the Hill to understand ding dang Boomhauer.

That was a good episode - Jon Waters selling the 'Americana' crap. Funniest part is when Homer thinks Bart is turning homo, so sets him in front of the Laramie cigarette billboard (featuring a 2-chick bra-and-panty pillow fight) for two hours... then asks him how he feels.

    "I kinda want a cigarette."

"There are two kinds of people that wear Hawaiian shirts...Gay men and big fat party animals...And Bart is NOT a big fat party animal!"

"And another thing, you guys aren't allowed to use the word 'queer,' that's a word WE made up to make fun of you."

Just to be even more off topic, does anyone watch The Family Guy? I HATED it at first but I think it is a riot now. They say some pretty messed up stuff on that show.

The Family Guy is FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!!! I watch it all the time on adult swim. There isnt a joke I don't like. They're going to show an eppisode they never aired on FOX Sunday at 10:00 central. Must see it... Futurama isn't bad either.

The episode is called "When you wish upon a Weinstein" It is pretty funny, but at the same time, it is easy to see why Fox didn't take the chance with it.
I always thought the talking dog and psycho baby were dumb, until recently. My buddy made me watch one full episode and I was hooked.

I have a one year old and a two year old and their naps require me to watch TV with the CC so I don't wake them up. If you're a dad, you know how GOLDEN nap time is....its funny, now my wife and I keep it on all the time. Now I rely on it....

Family Guy RULES! It's the Simpsons on acid, love it!!!!! 2 GREAT shows, no doubt!

The Simpsons Rocks, its possibly the best TV the U.S. produces, I hafta agree on Family Guy too. For years with the mix of TV we get, the Brits are far more cutting on their comedy shows and will attack anyone where I think in the US there is too much fear of not getting work due to offending someone powerfull.... or something and public figures don't get attacked except in the Cartoons [IMG]) and the best thing with the Simpsons is the levels a kid can watch and laugh their heads off as can an adult at tottaly different stuff.
