  2. WOW! I think your dad knows what he's doing.

  3. N8, I was just thinking the same thing, there aren't enough o's in smooth to describe the first car. Ditto on your old man knowing his ****.

Like I said in his intro, I think we are in the hotbed of rods and customs

okay, maybe not, but there are some people around here turning out some awesome ****. I better get my act in gear. Damn snow.

N8, haven't forgotten about our discussion, money's a little tight right now after Xmas, but I will be getting some info your way on getting some art work done.

Very, very nice. Pardon me if I missed it but is your Dad on this board? If he is not he should be, he will fit right in.

    Welcome G***erkid

Dont tell your Dad but I'm a huge fan!!! One of the highlights of last year, was watching him cruise around in that six bangin roadster with the boat windshield.

This is the only close up pic I have of the 6 Cy.

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Where's Derby from, say, Kansas City? I love what he's doing, clean and mean.

Show this '56 Safari to your Dad. Ask him if he has ever seen it. I'm am trying to find out what happened to it. These pics were taken at a Starbird show back in the '70's.

Very cool cars in Kansas! Nice to see more & more of them. Hope to see & talk to you one of these days.

  23. 1LowLesabre, I always wondered what happened to that chopped Poncho too. I saw that ride at quite a few runs and national meets in the middle '70's.

Here's a pic from KKOA Des Moines in '82. Is this the same ride?

    Awesome rides.

Are those Dodge wires and caps on the coupe? And is the frame lengthened? It looks like it is to me.

Also, can we get a rear view pic of the second car. I don't see the frame back there.

    Thanks
    Paul

Actually we built the wheels from 16" fords , put 15" rims on the back and 14's up front, buddy of mine gas welded each spoke, The caps were build by a guy out west and only made a few sets. Frame was lenghented 71/2" tio fit the y-block in and keep the stock firewall, fun damn car! Driving it to Lamar this friday.
