Long shot post - Is anyone here involved in the garage off Church St next to the Domino's Pizza in Concord, NC? I've driven by it a few times and there is always something cool going on. Is it a club? Thanks.

Yes, it's the Iron Lords haunt. Several (maybe all?) are Hambers.

Well that's a given but that's not weird and we hardly hide it haha!!!

Brett I still owe the pic of the pinstriped towel rack at our shop....I know this. I just seem to forget on Wednesdays which happens to be the only night I'm there haha!!! I'll get it though. Did you make up your mind yet? We're have a pretty strong shop night (not quite a party like last time) on Friday night after the drags (if they're still on) and then making a good showing Saturday for the show. I hope that helps make your decision a little easier.

If I were any closer to Raleigh it'd hurt.

There are quite a few HAMBers in this area as well.

We haven't done a breakfast, I did a cruise-in at Locked and Loaded once a month last year. Never a big turnout though. I'd be up for doing a HAMB and Eggs though.

HiJack away, no one cares about their hotcakes.

Yeah back home (Brooklyn, Ny) We had cruise in's everywhere in the summer. Down here it feels like people are scared of it...But I'm down for anything... I just need to finish painting the 31 and good to go. Should have it in prime by this weekend.

To the guys talking about the lack of a scene in your area...

YOU have to MAKE it happen, All this stuff in Concord is NOT by accident. And it has NOT been immediate. It has taken a long time to build. But rest ***ured, the Iron Lords now rule! So take advantage of our hard work and come on down and enjoy the fruits of our collective labor.

I don't care if we're working on projects or going to a goat ****, we NEVER fail to have a good time. Join us for the fun! Its only a couple of hours from Raleigh. Its well worth the trip. I guarantee it or your money back!!!

that's why I did the cruise-in's last year, because everyone wanted something going on. Then the turn out was dismal. They're loss.

I think there's about as much of a "scene" in Concord as anywhere else. But it's giving them a venue to to bring everything together which helps it. Zman's cruise in is a perfect example....someone trying to bring out what's in the area. I think why our shop is working compared to a cruise night is that our shop is open from 5 until 1am and it doesn require anything more then the gas to get there. You don't have to spend money and most of the time we have some drinks ready to be had. It also helps that there's a want to work and be apart of what's happening that helps. Cruise nights are about hanging and showing your car but we have that on top of actual work being done which peeks curiosity.

It also helps that whether or not other show up we will always be there and the 10 of us can have fun just hanging out with each other. If you've got that at***ude it's contagious and people want to be infected with that energy.

I love a cruise night but what about the guys that don't have a car on the road? Nothing ****s more then going to a cruise in with nothing to drive. I think that's why so many people come around our shop. You don't need to have a old car to come hang out....it makes for a better place but it's not a request. If you like old cars...well that's enough.

I will say this, no matter what I say it seems that I just can not fish out any hot rods to show up at the shop hahaha!!! Customs are plentiful but only a few times to we see real deal hot rods take part in our Shop night. If you have the formula to bring more of those out let me know because I need inspiration!!!!

Also make sure you guys come to our Shop nights as many times as you can in the next few months because once it gets cold it ****s to be in that building. Hopefully we'll have a wood burning stove setup before that time so that we can be a little more comfortable.

    Thanks everyone!

Well said! But I think we just have the magic animal magnetism though and that's what gets people to show up. How about this for winter shop night promotion? Come s**** with the Iron Lords. Its cold in our shop.

In the next month or so I'll be leaving the land of the rising sun and moving to the Palmetto State. Once I get settled in (which could take months to find a house, move my **** from Japan and Seattle, etc.) I'd like to swing by.

Zman, regarding a cruise, I always thought it would be cool to organize a Moonshine cruise where a group of traditional hot rods take some of the old back country roads in NC famous for moonshine runs. Maybe get Junior Johnson and Willie Clay Call to join and show us the way and bring some of their cars out. I found this article in HRM last year interesting. http://www.hotrod.com/thehistoryof/113_0510_moonshine_runners_cars_history/index.html
