Nice car, however not a chance in hell I would mount over 20 year old tires, even if they were "brand new".

Comin' out of Clarkston is just like comin' out of a barn. There's so much old stuff hiding out in that valley, guys will be street-rodding for years. I never should have left. Be interesting to know who the couple was. Back 'when' - I knew just about everybody in town (pop: 5271).

beautiful i like it and a cool story

  12. Those are beautiful cars. I love my 34 ford coupe but a mopar has more room, hydraulic brakes, less wood and great styling, IMHO. I see it with new black paint, dropped down a bit with original wires and a 340, 4 speed. Yeah! I'd keep all the chrome pieces and not chop that top.
Oh yeah..I'd have to lose all the extra bumper guards etc.

I did. A set of Allstate blackwalls, manufactured in the seventies, tread was over half gone when I put them on in '03. They finally wore out in '05. What's the big deal anyhow with a tire failing? In my lifetime I've had a few flats. DOH??. Pull over and put on the spare.:D

Whatever they do with it. Would make a bitchin' 'rod, or whatever..................

Whats funny! There was a box of 5 Tubes in trunk in Plastic Bags! My tire guy put them on & said perfect shape! The tubes were way more heavy duty than todays tubes! Tires & Tubes maybe 20 yrs old but no cracks & hold air & look good & ps not leaving CA to NY for awhile! Tks Bill

    Hey Peevee!
Lewiston is cool except for the Potlatch smell early in the AM! I lived there in lewiston 20 yrs ago & went back home to CA! My bro & mom stayed! My bro moved to a 40 acre ranch in Deary! Very cool Place! I was buying 80 acres next to his & gonna retire in ID & 4 yrs ago got that dreaded phone call Brother Pete flipped his Quad & died on his ranch! Changed my life & retirement plans! I get to lewiston at least twice a yr maybe we could hook up id like to see some town cars! Bro was Pete Fowler maybe you knew him! tks Bill

Solo...thanks for the info. Unfortunately I don't know anyone from Clarkston by that name. I live there from 58-62 and get back for a visit nearly every summer. Potlatch has cleaned up the aroma a lot. Back 'when' it used to bring tears to your eyes.
