Does anyone have any reports on how the swap meet is going so far? I know it's been raining cats and dogs for two days, but I figured some of ya'll might have made the rounds and might be able to give me some feedback on how it's shaping up? Prices reasonable? Out of control? Into the stratosphere?

I was thinking of rolling over there to see what they had in the way of 49-52 Chevy sedan doors/panels.....cars for sale (57 Buicks). Never been to it before, thought it might prove worthwhile.......

Carlise was great yesterday. Not much sign of rain at all.

Beautiful day on Friday. I found, a**** other stuff, a great set of four slotted wheels I've been looking for.......and for a lot less than I expected to pay!

Weather was darn near perfect yesterday. Morning clouds with sun by the afternoon, a little breezy, but good for walking around. Quality of cars for sale has been on the decline for quite a while now, still some parts for sale. Most vendors seemed to be willing to negotiate a little, maybe because of lost sales due to rain before Fri.

  6. Friday was great, weather just right, found everything I went for and some:eek:, as always. Saw a real neat 55 Chevy convert. all options, one owner, a true survivor, the infamous red and Ivory. The car just had a lot of ole' school appeal and talked some trading but it was priced at 45k:eek:. We hung around till dark and with tradition scored some Stoltzfus Chicken Corn soup. I wish I could buy a bucket of that stuff for lunch all week:D. G***ers were slim and the venue is changing there. More undesireable cars than ever, more guys with canes and bad backs and huge bellies eating the Ole' Smokies and heading for the Spot-a-pots. I hit heart attack hill a few times and except for my dawgs hurting it was not to bad, a couple of deep breaths at the top and off we went to see what was over the hill besides the crowd. Lots of bad builds and plenty that did not suit my taste. All that aside I still like it there, if you have deep pockets there is plenty of cool stuff to bring home. Thanks to Gene for bringing my moldings down from NY for the 49. Ok, now lets make it to Hershey!
