Who's planning on going to the Monroe swap meet this coming weekend (Oct. 8,9,10) and what will you be looking for? I'll be there with my dad and my brother on the Saturday - not really looking for anything specific... but my brother's been into building fixed gear bikes and he's always looking for something
I'll be there on sat., the 9th. I need to find a useable steering box for the "T' modified. Hope to locate a VW bus steering box and a few other parts. ............Jack
I'll be there Saturday. Would like to get my hands on some 1958-59-60 Buick front brake backing plates. Always looking for tin signs [that I can afford ] John

I've been going to both spring and fall Monroe swap meets for at least twenty years. I seldom miss either of them. It seems like when you decide what you are bringing home in the way of used parts in advance THAT item is hard to find! I always find a few things to bring home. There is always all you can take in in a single day there to see. I get there as early Saturday as I can.
So true. It seems that whenever we go looking for something specific, we end up empty handed. It's when you're not looking that the gem's appear
I will be flying in from Calif on Friday nite, going to the swap meet on Saturday and then leaving to work in Port Angeles right after. Not looking for anything specific, but something always seems to jump out at me....
I may have a spot to trailer my '39 Ford Pickup to, next to an old guy named Gene, that's been in the same spot for years. His only means of transportation is his flat olive colored '40 Ford Pickup. We'll be in the N.W. corner. Look for his truck parked next to his outside booth He's heavy into '35-'41 Ford truck, and some passenger stuff. But what he's got back home is the good stuff. Flatheads in all different stages, Fords + Lincolns, from good rebuildable cores (@ $500.), to low mileage runners (@1,500.), to a fresh rebuilt, sitting on an engine stand, that you can hear run before you buy it ($2,500?). He's clearing out his shop and moving out so he's flexible. And if you got the time to kick back with this 80+ year old body man, you'll learn a lot, and get a better deal.
I see that '40 every year. I have bought rear fenders for a different '40 I had several years ago from him. He drives that '40 everywhere with the Columbia 2 speed rear end. I will be there saturday, been going for years.
I plan on going out Saturday as well. I need some STUF not sure what kind of STUF but I well know when I see it. [GRIN]
Be there Friday evening & Sat. I'll also be in Hammered Coupe's space emptying Silver Bullets.........
