50Fraud,forgot to mention that was lookin for your beloved stuff..actually i did bought some Jean Trevoux pics, but since im running all over here i dont have enuff time to scan and look thru them currently..not that i dont want to but too much going on...

but again,my main mission is to put my hands in this old man photoghrapher archive itself, wich will be a dream for me..
he was payed for a mexican newspaper to follow and shoot all the 5 years Panam race,so can you imagine if i can get that stuff??All negatives i've been told from him personally...i have currently a list of those from A to Z but there is nothin on under LCP,or whatever name related under the race...there are many under automobiles, crashes and so on...but at the end it will be a giant task to go thru all those negatives and classify the automotive stuff...

Plus, from another hand im also workin to meet soon ANOTHER pro photographer from DF (Mexico city) that is also famous to have shooted aALL the 5 FCP races..funny stories on him, cause he was srudying all the roads before the races so he would climb any tree or higher sports to get the best crash shoots...this guy is in his 80s too,so better catch him to see his stuff too...

you see, plenty on the go guys, never enuff time...stay tuned

Jagvic...yes,and actually not good ones...after trying to push for quite some time thru my trusted friend in DF (Mexico City) to get access to the Jaqueline Evans Porsche he definately said that the owner is NOT minimally interested to meet me as a lurker...even if the cool idea (at list for me) was to put in touch our fellow Hamber owner of the 2nd Jaqueline Evans Porsche and then they could share precious infos on both cars...but since the mexican Porsche is fully restored the owner is NOT interested at all to know more...very reserved and selfish guy as far i understood...very rich guy too,so...im quite pissed cause i could'nt even see myself the car...but im faithful that one day thru other channels of having a special car to propose/deal i could perhaps met the guy,who knows??
Also the guy has some other italian barchettas,Oscas ,Siatas,Lancias and so on...but no way to see anything at all here...
I'll will ask as last chance to my trusted friend if he's allowed to take some pics for me...that 's the only thing left yet
Mission failed this time unfortunately...but if any news i will post em here right away...

Hi Sled ,you know what, I will comment you this with full respect because you deserve it ,and you are only trying to help , but I have read your the history about the guy who has the #200 porsche , but The misterious owner of the car, wont let you see the car, because it didnt exist at all, buddy, I sold the 51 Porsche to Mr. John Dixon from Jaqueline Evans in 2005 ,and If someone is saying he got the other 356 ,please send pictures or a real proof of existance It will be great !!!!!!!!

For me this guy who suposedly have the car is a liar,Lets assume he build one for his own satisfaction and desire, but the only car I have seen its owned by los chesitos and that car is not even closely a Panamericana Porsche from 1953
Actually this car has VW mechanical Internals and was made from zero
from a piece of a car that was baddly junked in Tlalpan, registered by a French Guy a long time ago.

Trust me Sled, Is not matter of money , Its matter of facts, In Mexico City as usual, (You should know this) theres a lot of people saying fantastic lousy stories about cars , I dont know why, maybe is because its normal for the chilangos be this way.

Look John If you want real details about your car give me a call or pm me to help you with this you know where to reach me.
If you restore this car properly you can make it worth a lot of money.
Trust me I spent many years putting all together for the car, but theres still superb things and facts I have about this piece , that will help you with the resto.
Im anticipating you ,one thing It wont be for free....
By the way the book I gave you is GOLD remember?

SilverShadow...WOW,this are big news here....matter of fact im just back from the la Carrera race ,beaten up and tired...but happy as hell too after the intense week spent all over Mexico...so,i have to start focusing again on this Lopez Porsche story...i have no reason to doubt your words, and is true that the chilangos are makin up full stories most of the times...is the way they are and it happens to me all the time too..most of the times is BS but sometimes is real, talking by personal experience...
so,hard to say at this point wich is the real truth...my source is quite trusted..and has no reasons to tell some BS.But i'll try to find out from other sources as well....will PM you to get in touch anyway so we can probably join forces and see where we can go here....thanks for the hint, very much appreciate it...sled

All it needs are hydraulics! If I understand it correctly, this "contraption" drew a lot of attention in the '53 race, but mostly negative. I don't think it got very far, but maybe I'm wrong.

10. I believe there's a couple of seconds of video of the Autos Chapultepec car included in Pink Floyd's VHS entitled "La Carrera Panamericana". It shows the car sliding around a corner. The WWII airplane canopy makes it easy to pick out. Cool car. And a really cool VHS tape.

This car was made in Campeche ,Mexico, by Jose Ham Gunam....The car had some advanced-for-its-time features (air-brake intakes, front-lights connected to driving steer so they turned accordingly to the angle of the steer, and many more) and took part on III & IV Panam Race...On both competitions the car finished the race....
Wow ...

18. TRANSLATION ... >>>> as close as I can figure anyway. I'm a white Tex-ican. A penche' guero.

**** translation following from Gabriel Ham post ****

I have many pictures of this car like this one currently. It was made by my uncle José Ham Gunam, he is 89 years old and in good health.

Seriously, though, a lot of work went into this thing.

I'm not sure if it was north or south of the border, but based on the amazing car catalog that Sled finds in Mexico, and also on the fact that the Orbitron survived, I'm making a prediction:

It is likely that this thing is still there, somewhere, unless it comes off a cliff, or has fallen under the fire of the enemy, or has been donated to the Smithsonian by the heirs of Jimmy Doolittle.

The car works perfectly today. Continental Lincoln Front 1949 Vultee cabin, all handmade. I have photos of him currently.

**** not a perfect translation ... if anyway is better versed, go ahead and post.

Good evening, guys!

My name is Thomas, I am an PanAm enthusiast from Germany, celebrating an annual Carrera Panamericana slotcar event since 14 years.

This Cadillinc is one of the few cars, I haven‘t made until now. And it is one of the most wanted cars because of it‘s unique style.

I would be more than happy, if you Gabriel Ham could contact me and share the pics you have. Also I would like to know from your uncle which where the exactly orogonal cars, he used and it would be an honor for me, if he could assist me in creation of a perfect scale model of this car.

If English is a problem maybe, I have a colleague of mine in Mexico City, he could help tp translate.

Of course I would this forum also kept updated.

Greetz,
Thomas
