I have a friend who's building a '41. I took some pictures of a '40 coupe for him at the national studebaker drivers' meet that was here in town last summer. The pictures are on another computer, I'll try to post them tomorrow. Also, it depends on what model the coupe is, a commander, champion or president as to what it looks like.

  11. ****in try google it is really a good search engine.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=40+...v&sa=X&ei=pqE_VeqHLc38gwThnYGQCw&ved=0CB0QsAQ

Here is a pic of 40 stude dude's coupe from a different angle by the way just to show that I am not a total ***.

Oh probably the reason the guy don't have pics is because your money is important to him. I don't want you to come on here whining in a week because you lost your money to some ***** in Nigeria.

Talk about dredging up a post that's 9 years old...and krash vegas, the pix you posted are of a '39 Stude...note the differences in nose trim pieces - a '39 has an angular section on it, just below the hood opening, a '40 (like mine) is straight, also a '39's grilles are upright bars, a 40's grilles are of an egg crate pattern...P ****** , thanx for posting a pic of my Stude.

Wonder if the OP ever bought that Stude...???

Another way to ID a '39 is the quarter window (the small one)...the '39's came to a point at the rear while the '40's were more rounded...here's a side shot to compare...

The dash is also different...here's a '40 dash...

Congrats on knowing how to 'search'...

I have ONE '40 headlight door...has pitting but the parklite lense is there. I have a '40 nosepiece that's broken, could be welded back together and rechromed. I have two '40 grilles, neither is broken but have a couple of cracks and they both have pieces missing off the surround...I'd make you a smoking deal on all of it... $50.00 for all of it and you pay the shipping...

FWIW, '40 stuff is prolly easier to find...

  21. I never knew these could be so cool.
The g***er look works, the custom look works, why arnt there more of these being done?
    I like em!

Rodger, your username suggests that you have one, but I've only seen you with your Caddy.
Is it tucked away, or gone before the Caddy?
