Seems to be a lot of available ideas and pics of "hot rods" what about mild customs?

Someday, my '40 pickup will arrive and I'm still searching to find that one idea that sparks my imagination.

Never considered myself to be a custom guy, but I think this pickup may be leading me that way, but I don't have a clue where to head.

I don't forsee any body mods, just keeping what Henry did so well on these models.

Definetly lowered, NO VISORS, no skirts, full hubcaps, whitewalls, flaked top could be cool.

Let's see what you all have hidden on those hard-drives, I need some inspiration!

Have you seen Baron Von Mike's 41 ford Pick up? Mild custom, and right up your alley....

Maybe Mike will post some pics.

Thx, I searched out that post, really liked the bronze colored one and black with flames is THE standard. Of course Mike's is primo too.

Maybe have a bit more california barrio custom in mind. Who knows, I'll keep looking.

Mine is due here on Thursday/ Friday if the creek don't rise and Ben keeps the shiney side up.

Maybe this is a hot rod, maybe it's a mild custom. I like it though... even the '42-'47 sheetmetal.

Mine is about a mild as you can get...
Still plan on droping the front about 3 inches (someday).
I am a clean black and white-wall kinda guy.

Keep em coming guys! I know there must be more custom lurkers out there.

I've read references to various types of wheel covers and wheel treatments.

Anyone have some good reference pics and descriptions of sombreros, flippers, spiders and any other "custom" wheel treatments.

I'm thinking a late fifties look being as how the truch has a sbc in it. Corvette valve covers, corvette 2 fours or maybe a 3x2 setup.

Would lowered all around, maybe a tonneau cover, metal flaked roof, solid color body and hub caps of some sort fit the late fifties?

There were a couple of huge custom threads not too long ago.
Don't remember the thread ***les or I'd post links.
Here's a nice '51 four door. I think I got it from one of those threads.
