So I picked up a 64 ford short bed. It has a 223 in it that is froze up solid. What motor can I bolt up to the 3 spd?

    I have a 64 parts truck that came stock with a Y block 292.......

I don't know for sure that the bell housings are the same for the 6 cylinder as the 8,,,, but I thought they were.

The bell won't work, but the 3 speed will fit a '65-up 352 bell, and a 390 or any FE will fit the 352 bell. A Y block with bell will fit, too, and a 289/302/351 on a 240/300 bell works.
