Can't contribute a picture, but when a couple of us trekked down to LA for the '65 Winternationals, we stopped in a lot of the more 'famous' shops in the basin. We went into Isky cams and Ed himself was there at the counter. We just introduced ourselves as a couple of "good old boys" from up Washington state way, and he was just as friendly as if we had been neighbors for years. I was a bit put off by the clutter in the office area, but he gave us a tour of the shop and it was all business. Nice guy and a great memory for me. dj
thanks prop for the responce, were heading down for the hrr, and planning on stopping in to eds place, sounds like hes still in there most of the time.
In the late 90's I was working a booth at the PRI show in Indy and Ed Iskenderian walked up, he is unmistakable, to see our product lines. I said to Ed that it was an honer to meet him. His reply??? "It is my honor to meet you" Humbled me right up.
Not a photograph but one of my prized possessions, autographed by Ed and the artist. I had one of his cams over 40 years ago. #215 of 250

I heard a few days ago there is a reunion or birthday party for ed planed in the near future here in the onyx area ? anyone know or have information ?
Ed is a regular fixture at the CHRR, had lunch with him (and the Famoso flies) a couple years back when Ernie Hashim was the grand marshall, Ernie recounted a story from the dry lakes days when he had driven his roadster from Bako and promptly burned a hole in a piston on his first p***. Being this was his ride home as well as his racer he had to try to fix it , Ed had him pull the holed piston and he peened a chunk of aluminum into the hole , worked fine !
