hey guys, i'm posting this for my good pal's the road rockets from indianapolis indiana. one of thier club members eric cain aka "paco" accidently burned himself in the face not long ago. sencond degree burns damaged a good portion. alltough he is out of the hospital and healing he lost a lot of work, doesn't have medical insurance,and with a mortgage paymet and other bills the guy has fallen a little behind. so, saturday night february 26th. the whole gang is doing a grat benifit for him at the GATLING GUN CLUB 701 N. I think that this benefit that Roy is doing is going to be a really fun time. Anyone who can make it that night should go. Eric is a great friend of mine and it has been really stressful watching him trying to deal with all this. Kudos to the Exiles for taking the time and care to put this whole thing together to help a friend. And just a note, it's an all ages venue so feel free to bring the kiddies too!!

First off, let me clarify that the Indy Road Rockets are NOT putting on the benefit for Eric, the Exiles Indy are the ones putting this on.Roy and the rest of the club have worked very hard to put this together and are not going to stand by and let the credit be stolen by people that have no part of putting this on.I think it is stooping very low to try to steal away credit from other individuals who have worked very hard to help another individual in need.I guess now the entire hamb board can see what type of moral character the Road Rockets really have and take that into consideration .

You know, instead of standing on a soapbox, you should be grateful that someone even cares enough to mention this fundraiser! Honestly, I don't think the man in question cares a lick where the money comes from, as long as he gets to keep his home!! Well, can't say that I've gained any insight into the character of the Road Rockets, but I think I've gained an insight into YOUR character. Really low to start bickering about who gets credit for helping a guy that's been injured can't work and may lose his house. He needs a hand. Give him one and shut up. Eric's ex will be up here selling raffle tickets for all the people that can't make the trip to Indy and they will have a seperate raffle just for those folks. First off, Mike is not on a soapbox. This is a very personal issue that causes a lot of heated feelings. True, Mike could have worded this better but there is a lot of hard feelings and back stabbing going on right now. Knowing the situation like I do I think Mike had every right to post this post. When someone puts a lot of time, money and effort into something they feel strongly about they deserve to get a little credit. I don't think this is really a car club thing, it is way more of a person thing. Mike has every right to defend himself with this. There is nothing saying at this point that the road rockets have claimed to be putting this benefit on. Lets all get the facts straight before going nuts. I think what we need to be worried about here is Eric and that he gets what he needs and gets better. Lets not pick Mike apart for standing up for himself. I believe anyone in this situation would have done the same. One of us will post an address for donations on here shortly for anyone who wants to send them.

I think what Axle is doing is helping a fellow rodder out, REGARDLESS of what club he's in, what club gave Axle the info and REGARDLESS of who thinks they deserve a pat on the back. My deepest sympathies for this poor bloke, I just hope people, REGARDLESS OF THE ABOVE LISTED, would be kind enough to help me out in my time of need! Best wishes to those who deserve it!! x Brandy
OK, sorry about the no intro thing, I've been on this board before but it's been awhile so I had to do a whole new logon. So hi. And to set things straight, I am not an Exile or a Road Rocket. I am friends of members in both these clubs. This whole thing is way out of control and Axles post is probably just a case of people taking it wrong. All I know is Eric is a friend of mine, I would like people to go to his benefit and show their support and that is it. I really didn't expect tempers to flare or fighting to start. I think it's stupid. Like I said before, the important thing here is Eric and that's what everyone needs to worry about. Not what car club is doing what.
This is Roy who was metioned in Mike's post, look this deal is to help our friend ERIC CAIN who we used to be in the ROAD ROCKETS with, not to get credit or any other crap. A lot of time, effort, and yes money has been put forth by myself Mike and another member of our club, all we are trying to do is help a friend in need. what exaclty is this Gatling Gun Club?? what kinda club is it?? i'm only 15 so I don't know if i would be allowed in or not.
You can get in, it is a private hall that we rented. There is a bar inside and limited food. It is a really cool old building, with a stage, plenty of tables, etc. Kind of like an old Ballroom. If you need directions contact me via e mail Roy Exilesindy@aol.com

man i wish i could of came down from cali to the show just to help out if i could. i know some of both car clubs but i mean no one is really tryin to take credit of the show there all just tryin to help out a friend. there is some heat i seen but come one forget about the problems and help someone out, hell i might be movin on out from socal to indy but lets just help a fellow hot rodder
