Hey to all, Name's Mike, I'm from NE Ohio. **Note that I removed the offending R word. I was at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg reunion this past Labor Day weekend. As was commented on by others, the Duesie drag race was unbelieveable. There was a cool looking flathead powered "dual cowl" rod in Auburn IN parked @ 9th & Main downtown most of the weekend. My camera was down and I got no pics. Owner was real low profile, never saw anyone near it other than us gawkers. Anybody else see this thing? Upper body appeared to be heavily modifed late 30's early 40's GM 4 door sedan with a wild dual windshield modification, a very low tan folding (?) top. Had a 30's Nash grille, big & little wide whites on red Ford wires. The upper body appeared to be mostly the original black, with red lead lower sides. This thing was very cool, anybody see it? Got pics? Mike
Been busy since my last visit....working for a livin and doing a bunch of car stuff. At any rate, the wild looking dual cowl I was trying to find showed up on page 54 of the November Hemmings. Built by the Vanderpools of Nashville. Wanna bet they're members? At any rate, have a look, its a neat ride. Mike
Mike....................Welcome to the H.A.M.B.................from Arkansas City, KS. you would be better served to post the questions concerning the "Dual Cowl Rod" on the main page of the H.A.M.B. Message board. There just has to be someone there that could possibly help you out, and definitely more people will read it there. This page is just for personal Introduction's. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
Thanks for the heads up, and I did put it on the main board. FNG's always screw something up, don't' they. By the way, I dig your art.
Mike, thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed them. I am going to have to update the website with some new stuff, and better photos. I finally got myself a digital and I really like it. Later, Larry
