I have a few friends that work at the port, I have given them the heads up.

 

Thanks I tried to talk to anybody down there, nobody was willing to help.

Please, if anybody has any connections to border patrols, port authorities, dock workers, shops, T-bird restorers etc. try contacting them for me, all help is appreciated.

Did you have one of the shifter locks on it that most of the 'bird suppliers sell?

 

Arrrrgh!! Hate this. Just updated my 55 insurance for this very fear. Hope you get her back!

 

Keep an eye out at the DMV. As was the case here in Phoenix. A restored truck was stolen and a few days later a Hamber spotted at the DMV . It had been sanded and dirtied up to look old. They had gotten a tag to trailer it and they were headed what looks like to Mexico.

Groucho is right!.Why isnt there a U.S Customs contact for this crap? they are the ones "watching" our side of the border and should check cars going across,I gotta believe the bad guys in this car wont look like they could afford to pay attention yet alone buy a classic T-Bird,no matter where/who they are........hope we have the Luck we had in Phoenix with the truck

If it weren't raining so hard today, I'd recommend driving around and putting up "Lost T-bird" flyers.
Don't laugh. It helped for a friend of mine. A neighbor of his witnessed the theft and gave a discription of the thieves. But only after seeing that it was stolen from the flyer. My friend never got his truck back, but it may help here.

 

I hate thieves! I know what your goin thru.I doubt ill see it this far.If i do i got a whole lota anger to take out on a thief.

 

OK looks like HLS HOME LAND SECURITY (AKA BORDER PATROL) has a san Diego office that has a number-it handles all Cal Border FAX-619 645 6644,phone- 619 652 9966x100;;;;;;contact them and mabe fax them the info,maybe someone there is a car guy and will help ya out..........If its headin across the border like so may do here (not sayin thats the only answer so dont start a shitstorm)

Obviously to late for this one for now, but speaking of, anybody have any recommendations for a good small, relatively cheap GPS system?

That suckss.. I had a truck stolen 16 years ago and never got it back.. My buddy said he thought the mexican cheif of police has it as a personal ride. Hmmm?? hope you get it back man..

I was paranoid as is, parking the car anywhere in L.A., but now I'm even more paranoid since the car was blocked in by our two other daily drivers, and I was sleeping less than 8 feet away from the car with the window open, and I didnt hear shit, not even our three dogs.
Those guys were pro's.
