PARADISE DRAG STRIP AND THE NORTH GEORGIA HOT RODS PRESENTS THE FALL "SHOW & GO" NOSTALGIA DRAG MEET, CAR SHOW & SWAP MEET. OCT. 9th 2010 AT HISTORICAL PARADISE DRAG STRIP (since 1961)

This show is a real blast from the past, with lots of real ol skool gassers, front engine diggers and super stockers also some afx cars. There is always a large turn out of some of the koolest hot rods, in the south. The huge swap meet is packed out with tons of old hotrod, classics and race parts. Three big events in one day at the same place, man how kool is that?

Show hours for the "SHOW & GO" are 9o am awards and door prizes at 3:30 pm (gates open @ 7:00 am for vendors and remain open all day) rain date for this event is oct. 16 th but it don't rain at paradise

Show car 25.00 (car and driver)
To run your car on the strip 35.00 (car and driver)
Spectator admission 10.00 ea (under 10 free)
10x30 or 20x20 swap space 25.00 (car and driver)

Going to load up the truck this afternoon so i can head out early in the am.
Come by and buy an armload of old car magazines and other stuff from me . It is time to start christmas shopping for the gearhead in your family.

i sell or trade on cool stuff or firearms , ammo , or reloading supplies or equipment.

 

It's apple festival weekend here so I'm going to Calhoun.

 

Since i have never been i think it is time for me to check it out as well. I also have to make a run to Cokers anyway so it is on the way.

Thought about seeing if this sign was garbage...it was propped up on this pole next to a garbage can...I left it where it was.

 

How we rolled in...

 

Looking through my viewfinder at the track, I thought that the 1/4 panel had slapped the ground...hell he left hard enough...wasn't so. lol.

 

This Buick was super quiet...and super quick...my vote for sleeper of the day!

I hope one of these years that this will fall on my weekend off.I have missed both of the calhoun events,Dixie fried and will miss the moultrie swap meet.Thanks for the great coverage Aceuh!
