Spent some time lurking after a few google searches led me to some useful info here so I decided I should join. I don't have anything "old," just an '87 Camaro setup for autocross and road racing. My dad is the one with the old vehicle that led me here. He's got a '38 Dodge pickup that is being setup for drag racing and cruising. Since he's not very computer savvy I'm the one that made the account. He recently brought home a 1940 Plymouth sedan and plans to use that front suspension and frame under the 38 truck body but everything else on the Plymouth is for sale. The truck itself is pretty solid with no rust holes and surface rust just beginning to form from sitting outside last winter. It's currently powered by a Buick 455 but he plans to remove that and drop in a worked over 383 Mopar with a tunnel ram. The trans is currently a T-10 but that will be replaced and the rear end is a 12 bolt out of a Suburban. He plans to narrow the rear end to make room for some big tires. It's got a ways to go before it's road worthy again hopefully it will be a fun project. I'll try to get pictures up later. Mike
