I changed the oil, put a new battery in and she started up after a few cranks. Drove to the end of the drive way sat for a minute and it stalled out. Since then it only turns over when the choke is all the way out and then only for a few seconds. Help would be much appreciated. It has a newer fuel pump and a gas jugg in the trunk. thanks

Has it sat for a long time? Could be bad gas or a timing issue.

Maybe its your carb. Could be gunked up and due for a cleaning. Maybe some crap in a jet.

It's starving for fuel. Might be something in the carb that's blocking fuel delivery? Dirt is always the culprit.

Need more info. 6v or 12v. 216/235 or small block. Single carb, pionts, what do you have. Is there a balast conected to the coil or no. Could be a bad coil. You got a trouble light and multi meter? Fill in the blanks and an answer will be easier.

Oh and get a real gas tank. I am sure it is on your priority list though. I have "Gotten cars running" that way before to and it usually causes issues.

I took the carb off and cleaned it, it started up and i adjusted the throttle and choke so it idoled nice. I had it running for 5 min turned it off and when i tryed to turn it over again the starter just clicked. I enjoyed a very brief moment before the car took it away. Any tips on getting a starter working let me know Thanks
