1946 Ford truck Rearend swap

    Just wanted to know if anyone has done a rearend swap in a 46 ford truck..I want to keep the original lug pattern..Any pics or suggestions..

    Almost any Ford F100/150 rear end ,1955/1980's will work. Just check width and match to your existing rear end. Most of these rears have 5 on 5.5 " bolt pattern.

  4. No, 46 Ford should have an open drive Banjo rearend under it. That looks like a 49-53 Ford rear end or Camaro...pic is kinda small.
     
  5. No it's not the original. The original was a banjo type with open drive.

    It may is, i got the same one on my 47, i think only 1/2 tons had the banjo.
