    im thinking of buying a xs 650 and was wondering how they look bobberized hard tailed or even w swingarms
    any pics greatly appreciated

    Really lookin' good lilbill. How are the forks doing? I'm still watching for some for mine since I got crewed on those 6" overs.

    James I have some that I was told were 6" over , they are pretty solid . Trees , tubes & legs . I can take some pictures for you if you are interested . If you want them you can have them for shipping + $20 . . . let me know .

    Hands-down, the toughest xs650 chop I've ever seen. I got this pic from 650motorcycles.com, but I couldn't find the original link to the rest of the pics.
    The pics are all ***led "bobbermike"... if that helps...

    Hell yes!!! COuld you just put a tape from the axle to the top of the top tree? Just don't need more stockers..... (see this thread-- http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43957&highlight=ebay )

    hay.Cool I pick up one a few weeks ago with plans of hardtailing it.It has a peanut tank which was made longer and the frame was raked to take the springer front end.hardtailing it is next.

    Here's mine after I cut off all the junk and threw together a jig from s****. Make the jig BEFORE you cut up the frame. I made the rear axle in the same position, using the original swingarm for reference.
    The next pic is after. I had a local machinist make the axle plate, but if you search ebay there's a guy that sells them cheap. All the stretch on mine is in front of the motor, 3"up and 4" out.
