I gotta say...
in my 35 plus years in drag racing as a pit kid, crew member, owner, driver, announcer and all the rest... This (and the may event) are the EPITOME of drag racing FUN!!!!

none of the drama of organized competition drag racing. its just fun. fun, fun, fun.

i'm a spoiled ass drag racer. i've been there, done that. i am all about eagle field. every event gets just a little better. super cool.

What an awesome army of volunteer staff, crew, help and support. from the time you hit the gate til the time you pull out onto althea ave, it is wall to wall smiles.

if you can make this event, get there. Its worth the price of admission just to watch RJ do his thing ALL day long... and never lose and ounce of energy.

i'm REALLY thinking long and hard about putting together a C/GD to come after lee and small block tim.... i think you guys need an altered to give you a run.

Gotta say Rocky, This event was the best day that I've had in a long time. Here's a few pics starting with Unsprung-84 years old and still winning!

Who was the guy that adjusted his front & rear alignment in the green "A" Sedan? I'm sorting my father-in-laws pics and he got a string of pics of that run from the Startline. Then he cruised down to the scene of the crime and snapped a bunch more, including some from the ambulance (which I won't post out of respect).

I was down just past the Finishline right where he smacked the wall. I'll give him credit, he tried to ride it out but it just came around right at the line. After looking at the pics his right rear was smokin' the entire track! Never let up, God bless him. Hope he's OK. He was a bit banged up.

 

Here's some pics of his run. Have a bunch more but I won't post them out of respect. This ain't TMZ you know. He got a hearty round of cheers when he jumped out and threw his hands in the air. Hope that helped take some of the bite out.

Was a great "first time" at Eagle Field 10/9/10 ~ thanks Rocky it was a blast!
