I'm pretty active on garagejournal.com, and I've been a long time lurker here. I do some road racing, so that has consumed all of my hot rod budget for a long time, but I have finally found the car that I've been looking for for nearly ten years... I think. It's a 1958 Pontiac Chieftain 2D HT. My grandfather had one of these as new in '58. I've heard drag racing stories about that car from him and all his buddies my entire life. I've located an example in Bellingham, WA. If anyone knows of a mechanic in the area who is familiar with old GM's, please send me their contact info. I live in TN, so checking it out myself isn't really an option. I'd gladly pay for a third party's opinion. Thanks, Adam
