Wow! No offense Roach but a $1000 is not a bad price for learning a life time lesson. I've done much worse and still paying the price for it after over 50 years.
    Peace,

if he didn't sign it it had to have been forged. good leson if sell a car on payments keep the ***le and write a bill of sale as leinholder. thats the way they do it when it's financed. if they don't pay file repossession paperwork and go get it

Hey Roach, The Roadmen have a web site / myspace. I just searched "Road Men, WA" and it popped up. I'm sure these guys know him and don't want the whole Roadmen name dragged though the mud. As you know they show up all over the place up here. With it being the end of the season your probably not going to see them around til spring. Try hitting up the club members for info. You'll find out right away what kind of people your dealing with.

  15. Reiterating what someone already said: If you don't have paperwork proof to show that he owes you money, you have nothing but your word against his. Roach, do you have that?

And I agree with what was said about one guy complains about spelling or grammar and ten guys follow suit. I could read and understand what the poster is saying just fine, so shut your yappers.

Small price to pay to never have to deal with this guy, or his friends, again. Live and learn.

  21. Seems to me the best advice here, note on the original post this gentleman is also a WA resident:

And presumably you have some proof of the owed money, reciept, whatever.

  22. The only problem with that is the car isn't/wasn't stolen. If someone doesn't make payments on their newer car is it a stolen vehicle? No, but the lender has paperwork stating money owed has not been paid and they then can put a lien on it and have it repossessed.

I would do what the retired cop said, unfortunatly you gave him the ***le so you really dont have much recourse other than to go the legal way, you could always round up a couple buddies and Lynch his ***, but if you want to go the legal way his advice was the best I saw posted.
Good Luck on getting your money or your car back.

Hey good luck in finding your car. I hope it all works out for you. Even though you don't have pics of the car as it now looks, I think you should still post pics of how it looked when you had it. Every hot rod and custom car is unique, there are always tell-tale signs that makes it different, and people on here can see past the paint work.

I've had something similar done to me, to the tune of around $1200 for wheels that I sold to someone who I thought was a friend. Stings even worse when it's someone you've known for years. Needless to say, I haven't talked with him since. Without something in writing, like a bill of sale or some other signed do***ent by both parties, it's going to hard to recover any money. Of course, if you can 100% prove that the ***le was forged (which it sounds like you can), then you might be able to get the car back, and this guy will probably go to jail.

What I want to know is, where are the rest of the 'Roadapples' on all of this? Are they attempting to help hide this guy? Their name is being drug though the mud right along with the douche waffle that did this. That 'club' is so big, someone on here must have read this and is ***ociated with this guy...I think they need to step up a little and get this guy to make this right before this gets any worse.

sure it was stolen, the guy forged the ***le, nothing was signed over. the forger and the guy who owes money both go to jail. I wonder why they don't require a notary when paperwork is signed over? a lot of places do, if a notary is required, proof of who the person is is required. if the ***le was forged at the DMV, why wasn't an ID check required of both parties? I know here to renew a tag or anything, you have to show a valid ID. The way the system seems to work there, anyone could walk in with someone off of the street and a stolen ***le

  30. The ***le was stolen, the car was not.
